Women of Jungli
You're not wrong. But you haven't heard about Jungli. Here's exactly what we've built, and what we're still building.
Join the Women of Jungli

From the founder
Divi recorded this after one too many conversations at international nomad festivals that started with: "But India isn't safe for women, right?"
The why
Indian women are going overseas to find the freedom to solo travel. Women from abroad are skipping India entirely. We know this. Finding a safe cab, wandering alone, arriving in a new city without a contact. Things women freely do in Thailand or across Europe. In India, they can feel like high-stakes decisions.
As a family, we've travelled Australia - watching women road-trip alone in campervans, going wherever they wanted. Coming home to India, the contrast was heartbreaking.
While we can't control the country - we can control our little slice of paradise. Read below to learn six things we do to ensure the Women of Jungli thrive.
That's before counting women who travel as part of couples or groups. Creating a safe space for women is not a PR exercise at Jungli. It's tied to our core mission.
What we actually do
A dedicated WhatsApp group where women help other women navigate India. Safety tips, travel hacks, connections before you land, and strength in numbers once you arrive.
No currency, jet-lagged, no clue how the ATM works. That's when women report feeling most alone. Your driver's name and plate number are sent to you before you board. No payment on arrival. It goes on your tab. One less thing to figure out in an unfamiliar country.
Jungli is not publicly bookable. Every resident completes an application and a vibe-check interview, run by our Tribe Queen Geetika. Men who aren't allies don't get in. Simple.
Jungli's factory roots meant an all-male team. As our community grew, we started to build a team that reflects it. Slowly but surely, our team is growing younger & more female 🌴
Divi's parents are regulars at Jungli. A multi-generational family is always around, the kind of energy that makes a place feel safe in a way you can't manufacture.
Jungli is just the beginning. We've curated a network of colivings across India that share the same values. We call it The Jungli Trail. Because a solo female traveller deserves to feel this safe everywhere she goes.
Community-driven
The Women of Jungli WhatsApp group isn't just for support. It's a feedback loop. Real changes, recommended by real residents.

In India, open dustbins in bathrooms make disposing of sanitary products uncomfortable. Every bathroom at Jungli now has a covered bin. A small change, a meaningful one.

Requested and installed so residents can move between bungalows and the riverbank after dark without needing to find a companion first.
Beyond Jungli
Jungli has partnered with a network of colivings across India that share the same values: community, safety, and the quality of welcome you'll find here. We call it The Jungli Trail.
A solo female traveller who stays at Jungli should never land in an unfamiliar Indian city and feel like she's starting from scratch. The Jungli Trail is our answer to that.
