The elevator pitch

What Jungli is, in one paragraph

Jungli the Nomad Village is an application-only digital nomad village and experiential learning residency in a secret location near Dandeli, Karnataka, about three hours from Goa. Founded in April 2024 by musician and former Uber Operations Manager Diveakssh Schae, Jungli has hosted 650+ nomads, artists and entrepreneurs from 20+ countries. After passing a vibe check video call, residents are informed the exact location, and join a hand-picked community that thrives at the intersection of wifi & wildlife. It's part of a bigger goal: putting India on the global digital nomad map alongside places like Bansko, Chiang Mai, and Da Nang - and giving nomads a real workation option in India that isn't just Goa's cafes.

Origin story & milestones

How Jungli came to be

The land was once the campus of the Danddeli Ferro Alloy factory, built by freedom fighter Lalbhai Patel in the 1950s. Divi was born and raised in these jungles, then spent years living as a nomad himself: van life across Australia, backpacking through India, until an invitation to a digital nomad village in Indonesia birthed this vision. He came home and, with his family, team and community's support, opened Jungli's doors in April 2024.

Apr 2024 Jungli quietly opens on Divi's ancestral land near Dandeli, Karnataka, only accessible via an exclusive WhatsApp group.
Dec 2025 250+ residents from 11 countries by the end of year one. Serenne the Arthouse, a second coliving space, opens in September.
Feb 2026 Jungli passes 500 residents hosted since launch.
Jun 2026 Jungli the Nomad Festival (JTNF) runs its first edition: a 5-day gathering of coliving operators, community builders and nomads, with 50 attendees.
Now 650+ residents hosted, from 20+ countries. Jungli welcomes its first long-term residents and is now open to more!
The Vision Build up to a 100-person nomad village by 2027, where everyone gets around on electric cycles and can choose between colivings, tiny homes and villas.

Vibe Code with a View

India's first AI-learning residency in the jungle!

Running Jungli required systems that no off-the-shelf software could handle, so Divi and the team leaned into AI and built their own: MowgliOS, the proprietary software that now runs Jungli's ops end to end. That aha moment inspired Vibe Code with a View. Three professional AI educators teach Automation, Agentic AI, and AI in the Arts in rolling weekly cohorts, July through October, pairing the tools of the future with a wholesome community, yoga, forest walks and pickleball. New cohorts start every week, and as always, applicants are interviewed to keep the community high calibre.

Founder bio

Diveakssh Schae ("Divi")

Divi is the founder of Jungli the Nomad Village and an Audio Nomad who turns everyday sounds into music (debut album Moments of Clarity, reviewed by Rolling Stone India). Before Jungli, he spent five years in operations management at Uber across Australia and New Zealand, then left to live as a nomad: van life across Australia, backpacking through India, recording the sounds of each place and turning them into music. In April 2024 he returned to his family's ancestral land in Dandeli and built Jungli. He has spoken at international nomad gatherings including Vietnam Nomad Festival in Da Nang and Nomad Cruise, and founded Jungli the Nomad Festival (JTNF) in 2026.
